Google Ad Grantsfor charities.
Google gives eligible charities free search advertising every month. We help you get it, set it up properly and manage it, so your cause reaches people already searching for it.
What is Google Ad Grants?
Google Ad Grants is Google’s programme for charities. Eligible charities get up to $10,000 (US dollars) of advertising on Google search every month, for free.
Your ads show when people search for things connected to your cause, like how to volunteer, where to donate or where to find support. It’s one of the most valuable things a charity can get for free, but Google’s rules are strict, so the account needs looking after to keep the grant.
What it can do
- Bring in donations, volunteers and fundraisers
- Point people towards your services and support
- Promote events, appeals and campaigns
- Raise awareness of your cause in your area
What it doesn’t cover
- Display, YouTube or shopping ads
- Ads pointing anywhere but your own website
- Selling products or services for profit
- Accounts that fall below Google’s rules

Check you’re eligible
We check your charity registration, your website and what you want people to do against Google’s rules. We’ll tell you honestly if anything needs fixing first.
Apply for the grant
We help you register with Google for Nonprofits, get your charity verified and apply for Ad Grants, so the paperwork doesn’t stall.
Build the campaigns
We research the searches your supporters actually make, write the ads, set up tracking for donations and sign-ups and structure everything to Google’s rules from day one.
Manage it every month
Every month we keep the account compliant, remove weak keywords, test new ads and report back on the donations, volunteers and visits the grant brought in.

Questions
Not a charity? See our Google Ads service.
Is it really free?
Yes. Google gives eligible charities search advertising credit every month and you don’t pay Google for the clicks. If you’d like us to run it for you, our management package covers the work.
Who can apply in the UK?
Charities registered with the Charity Commission, OSCR or CCNI that aren’t part of government, a hospital or a school. Charitable foundations linked to hospitals or schools can often still apply.
What can the grant be spent on?
Text ads on Google search, pointing to your own website. It doesn’t cover display, YouTube or shopping ads.
Can a charity lose the grant?
Yes. Google pauses accounts that break its rules, like falling below a 5% click-through rate. We check compliance every month so that doesn’t happen.
Can we run paid Google Ads as well?
Yes. Many charities run a paid account alongside the grant to reach searches the grant can’t. We can manage both.
Tell us about your charity and we’ll tell you honestly whether Ad Grants is right for you and what it could do.
